The TBM 900 offers greater speed, range and efficiency than previous TBMs. It has improved short field capabilities and, as a result, can be used on just about all general aviation runways. Approaching at only 90 KIAS or less, short runways or short unpaved surfaces can accommodate the TBM 900. The new 5-blade Hartzell propeller reduces noise and improves take off performance. In addition, the availability of thrust reversal on the TBM 900 substantially improves safety margins over aircraft without these capabilities. When flying into shorter fields, particularly when the surface is wet, allows landing on extremely short strips and runways safely using less than 2,430 ft. The TBM 900 allows flexibility that most light jets cannot, a runway available to the TBM is simply not available to others or would require them substantial reductions of cabin and fuel load. The TBM 900 allows you to fly closer to your destination and travel the world while carrying everything you need!

The TBM 900 Performance Data is derived directly from the Daher-Socata Pilot Information Manual. Select between aircraft operating weights and cruise altitudes for climb, cruise and descent performance.

Start by selecting between TBM 700’s, TBM 850’s, TBM 900’s, TBM 930’s listed to your right! Select between max, mid and light take off weights for landing takeoff distances. Also, select between max efficiency and max speed cruise altitudes for time to climb and descend data as well as cruise fuel burn rate and true airspeed.

Below are the conditions the performance data is predicated on: the TBM 900

1) MTOW 7394 LBS distance to clear 50ft obs. ISA
2) MLW 7024 LBS distance to clear 50ft obs. ISA
3) Max Cruise @ ISA conditions @ mid weight 6300lbs FL 280

AIRFRAME DESIGN

The TBM 900 airframe design employs several fail-safe structural design techniques, including the use of multiple load paths and a crack-stopper band to maximize sub-system reliability / durability and structural life. The TBM 900 airframe builds on the success of the TBM 850 and the TBM 700.

TBM 900 airframe designers carefully chose a variety of aluminum alloys, high strength steel (including titanium) as well as advanced composite materials to maximize structural strength and durability, while minimizing not only aircraft weight but also acquisition and life-cycle support costs. The majority of the TBM structure is manufactured from conventional aluminum alloys. The exceptionally strong wing spars, flap tracks and windshield frames are machined from solid bars of aluminum.

The TBM 900 uses advanced composite materials such as carbon fiber for its winglets and its enhanced cowlings which maximize its structural strength and durability while minimizing weight.

COMPOSITE 2FT HIGH WINGLETS

Benefit from the new e-copilot functions to ease your workload with AOA (Angle of attack) indicator, ESP/USP (Enhanced Safety Protection/Under Speed Protection) systems, EDM (Emergency Descent Mode) on your autopilot. A smart stick shaker warns you in the event you fly outside the flight envelope.

NEW TAIL CONE & LIGHT

The TBM 900 tail cone has been restructured making it more streamlined reducing drag and improving airframe efficiency. To improve visibiliy at night, Socata added an additional light at the tip of the tail of the aircraft. This gives improved lighting around the TBM900 to enhance visibility of the TBM 900 by other aircraft in low-light conditions

NEW GEAR DOORS

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of the airflow over the previous TBM airframe revealed a significant amount of turbulence in the area of the gear doors. The TBM 900 adds an inner gear door, which reduced turbulence and improves its aerodynamic efficiency.

The new reclined panel, with its better instrumentation improves your flying experience and comfort. Instrument descriptions and labeling have been re-engineered which makes instrumentation reading essentially easy and yields more panel room for sight comfort.

ERGONOMIC YOKE WITH REMOTE COMMAND BUTTONS

The new ergonomic yoke fits your hand like a glove. Integrated pushbuttons for features like Control Wheel Steering, ATC Ident, Stormscope and Com frequency swap puts everything at your fingertips. The center of the yoke is specifically designed to mount an iPad if you should choose. The redesigned panel includes 2 built-in USB power ports as well as a conventional 12V charger socket to keep your personal electronics fully charged. An interface for a personal music source such as an iPod is also right there on the panel.

SINGLE LEVER POWER CONTROL

The TBM 900 is the first single-engine turboprop to feature single lever control. A single, ergonomically designed lever controls the engine power, propeller and engine condition. In addition, its new electronic power center allows the TBM 900 to start almost twice as fast as its predecessors and automatic starter cutoff reduces pilot workload during the startup sequence.

The lower panel has been redesigned to provide easier access to de-icing, intertial seperator and other controls as well as to provide more leg-room for taller pilots. Pressurization settings are now completely automatic.

LANDING GEAR CONTROL

The landing gear control system has been redesigned for easy identification of gear status and to ease troubleshooting.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

Allows passengers to enjoy a comfortable cockpit where the temperature meets their most cooling comforting needs.

USB OUTLETS

A 14/24 Volt power source keeps passengers connected and entertained via USB outlets, iPod linkup and Sirius XM satellite music or radio.

HEATED SEAT

Every seat can now be heated with the heating function. Once the mode is engaged by the pilot via a master control in the cockpit, each occupant can choose whether to utilize the heating and select either light or moderate heat settings.
